Smell is a Potent Wizard!

“Smell is a potent wizard that transports you across thousands of miles and all the years you have lived.” —Helen Keller
Science shows our sense of smell can take us back in time, Marty McFly style, quicker than images can, no hoverboard or DeLoreans required.
What smells take you back in time in an instant?
These are some of mine:
❄️ The smell of heavy winter air when it is going to snow reminds me of sledding, snowforts, blizzards and moonboots.
☀️ The smell of a hot sidewalk when the first few drops of a sun shower or sprinkler touch down reminds me of barefoot summers.
🌊 The smell of the ocean, makes me think of family vacations, saltwater and sand everywhere.
🌹 The smell of roses: My mom grew roses at our house in MN and I have a few here. My favorite is double delight.
🍿 The smell of popcorn: My dad and I ❤️ the movies and popcorn of all kinds.
Young Living essential oils offer a plant-based way to contribute to overall physical and emotional wellness. One of the easiest ways to start that journey is by simply smelling.
Smell eo from the bottle (so easy!)
Smell a few drops of eo in your hand
Wear a diffuser necklace or bracelet with a few drops of eo
Diffuse in your car, office or bedroom
Whatever your method, Young Living essential oils transport your mind, body and emotions to a place of wellness.

Brighten your mood, or dig even deeper into special techniques, like the Aroma Freedom Technique, that “uses the power of scent to gently shift awareness away from negative thoughts, feelings and memories and to initiate a positive outlook and attitude.” https://aromafreedom.com/
I got to experience AFT first hand at last summer’s YL Yoga & Balance retreat! Dr. Perkus walked us through the process, which blew me away, and had me holding back tears. Certain smells carried me back to my childhood, running barefoot by the light of the moon feeling unstoppable.
If you are curious and looking for a brighter day or feeling or for something deeper, please give YL a chance. You won’t find similar results with other oils, they are NOT equal and can’t compare to our Seed to Seal process.
Today was YL Founder Gary Young’s birthday and now, to honor Gary and his groundbreaking work, July 11th is International Essential Oils Day!
Today 5% of all sales will go to the YL Academy that reaches hundreds of children in Ecuador and kick start a new University Sponsorship Program. Learn more at http://seedtoseal.com/en…
p.s. I took this photo on my flight home from this year’s YL Grand Convention in Salt Lake City. For me the convention and farm experience is like a little bit of heaven on earth and I’m thankful for Gary’s decades of hard work creating it for us, for everyone.
I love sharing samples! Pleaset let me know how I can help!

Fireworks + Axious Pets: Tips for the 4th!

Sparklers 💥 are my favorite firework🎇 Though as a kid I didn't realize how dangerous waving around a burning hot piece of metal can be.... I also like snaps, glo-worms and the big professional fireworks that are all sparkly!
Our dog 🐶 Daisy doesn't show a lot of anxiety during noisy holidays like the 4th or NYE, but many pets do and it can stressful and even dangerous for them (if they run away). 😢
One of the simplest and best ways to care for your nervous pet is by using Young Living essential oils. Introduce oils to your pet slowly.
1- Apply essential oils to your skin or clothing and let your pet check it out at his or her own pace.
2- Pet your dog with a few drops of essential oil on your hands.
3- Diffuse essential oils in an open space that your pet can enter or exit freely.
Suggestions for anxiety from the Essential Oils Animal Desk Reference:
- Apply Lavender, Cedarwood or Frankincense to the tips of ear, crown of skull, base of skull and along spine as needed.
- Apply 1-4 drops Stress AWay and Peace & Calming over the front paws twice daily or as needed.
- Pet your dog with a few drops of White Angelica in your hand.
Diffuse: Lavender + Cedarwood, Peace & Calming, Stress Away, Northern Lights Black Spruce, Valor, or Sacred Frankincense.
What is your favorite firework or way to celebrate?
